Medal Test Medal Tests can be taken in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Freestyle (Disco, Street Dance, Slowdance) & Dance Cheer Poms (Cheerleading). They start from Starlite Award to British Premier Award. For each Award Medallists will be given one of the following marks: Pass, Pass Plus, Commended, Highly Commended. Medal Tests are invalubale in boosting the confidence of the participating pupils and help to develop stage presence and awareness. The candidate will then be given a Comment Sheet, Certificate and Medal.
Grade Exams This is set Grade work devised by the BATD. The syllabus starts from study in Pre Primary Grade to 5th Grade in Ballet, Tap & Jazz. There are also senior Grades Elementary, Intermediate & Advanced. There is a Grade to suit each age group. Pupils will study each Grade for approximately a year. However, some may reach the required standard before or after this period. I will be regularly assessing this. Grade work is essential to enhance the dancer's Technique, Strength & Flexibility. No audience is allowed during the Exams. Hair must be back from face, no jewellery, no nail varnish. Dancewear must be simple with no sequins. Results of Exams will be sent to the school within three weeks of the exam date.
